INNOVABLUE and ROBONETCBC Jointly Shape the Future of Blue Technologies

On March 26, 2026, Podgorica will host a joint workshop of the INNOVABLUE and ROBONETCBC projects titled "From Needs to Innovative Solutions: Jointly Shaping the Future of Blue Technologies".

The workshop will be held at the Ramada Hotel (Lesendro hall, 5th floor), 74 Sava Kovačević Boulevard, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and the working language of the event is English.

This joint event is designed as a concrete step from the analysis of the current situation and needs towards the creation of innovative solutions, with the aim of connecting scientific knowledge, technological capacities, and real user needs towards the development of practical solutions in the field of blue technologies. A special focus will be on identifying priority challenges and jointly designing initial proofs of concept (PoC) for innovative solutions that can contribute to the monitoring and protection of marine and freshwater ecosystems.

The workshop aims to actively involve key stakeholders – representatives of public institutions, academia, the non-governmental sector, technology companies, and other potential users – in order to define needs, confirm challenges, and make a direct contribution to the development of applicable innovative solutions through structured discussions and thematic work.

The discussions will be based on the results of key ROBONETCBC analyses related to the state of marine and freshwater ecosystems, pollution, biodiversity, as well as existing monitoring systems, equipment, and data exchange practices. In this way, the workshop will create a space to connect challenges in ecosystems with real technological possibilities and user needs.

By jointly organizing this workshop, the INNOVABLUE and ROBONETCBC projects further strengthen cross-border cooperation and create a foundation for the development, testing, and application of innovative blue technologies that respond to the specific ecological and social needs of the region.
