Study visit as part of the NET4GREEN project

The NET4GREEN (Cross-border Innovation Ecosystem to Increase the Eco-Entrepreneurial Skills of Youth and Women) project has entered an important implementation phase through a series of study visits in Italy, which were held from January 26 to 28 in Campobasso and Bari. During the visits, the project partners continued the exchange initiated at the kick-off meeting, as well as familiarization with the innovation ecosystems of the Molise and Apulia regions.

On January 27, during their stay in the Molise region, the partners visited the business incubator in Campochiaro (CB), managed by Sviluppo Italia Molise. During the meeting, strategies for supporting innovation and entrepreneurship were presented, as well as concrete examples of business initiatives being developed within the incubator, which are directly related to the goals of the NET4GREEN project.

On the next working day, in Bari, in cooperation with the lead project partner CIHEAM Bari, visits to local innovation hubs and incubators were organized. On that occasion, the Apulia Region presented the regional innovation ecosystem, as well as the available instruments and programs supporting the development of entrepreneurship and innovation.

All project partners participated in the study visits: CIHEAM Bari, Apulia Region (Department for Research and International Relations), Startup Albania, Sviluppo Italia Molise, the Innovation Fund of Montenegro, and the Agricultural University of Tirana, who had the opportunity to establish direct communication with key actors from the business, economic, and academic sectors.

The NET4GREEN project is financed by the Interreg IPA South Adriatic program and is designed with the aim of addressing the problem of brain drain from the South Adriatic area and high unemployment, partially caused by the mismatch of educational and training systems with labor market needs. The project aims to enable youth and women in Italy, Albania, and Montenegro to develop knowledge and skills to start and manage sustainable businesses, through the improvement of training programs, strengthening cooperation between the public and private sectors, and building a strong cross-border innovation ecosystem.
